Our client is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of energy-efficient cooling tower solutions, and a subsidiary of a large global Cooling Technologies Group. With over 30 years of global experience, they design and deliver wet and hybrid cooling towers across a broad range of industries including HVAC, data centres, industrial processing, power generation, and petrochemicals.

Their products are engineered to the highest international standards — CTI, ASHRAE 90, ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certified — and have been deployed on landmark projects including Marina Bay Sands Singapore, Palm Jumeirah Dubai district cooling, and KLCC Kuala Lumpur. In Australia, they are headquartered in Sydney and are actively growing their presence in the high-demand data centre cooling market.

 

About the Role

This is a senior, commercially focused sales execution role responsible for building and executing our client's Data Centre cooling strategy across Australia. You'll be the key market-facing representative for a technically credible, globally established business — developing relationships with data centre developers, hyperscalers, and colocation operators, and converting those relationships into significant revenue outcomes.

The role combines strategic sales with hands-on project management capability, requiring someone equally comfortable presenting at an executive level and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from lead to close.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow revenue within the Data Centre cooling sector across Australia.
  • Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with data centre developers, hyperscalers, colocation operators, and key specifiers.
  • Promote and sell the full product portfolio including cooling towers, dry coolers, adiabatic cooling systems, and liquid cooling solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and technical specification through to contract negotiation and order closure.
  • Secure product specifications with consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders to protect and grow market position.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and positioning.
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate internal resources to ensure smooth delivery against milestones.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Achieve annual sales and profitability targets.

 

What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales or project management, ideally within cooling towers, HVAC, mechanical services, data centres or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated success selling into or around the Data Centre sector — existing relationships with developers, hyperscalers, or colocation operators is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, build pipeline, and close complex deals.
  • Technical aptitude — able to understand and clearly articulate product specifications and cooling solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a track record of building credible, long-term client relationships.
  • Strong network within Australia's Data Centre or broader built environment ecosystem.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite; experience with CRM platforms an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
  • Current Australian driver's licence.
