Position: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid)
Salary: up to $95K base - $150K OTE
Our client is a well-established healthcare recruitment business looking for an experienced medical recruiter to help grow its specialist doctor division.
This role focuses on recruiting Rural Generalists, GP ED Doctors, General Practitioners, and hospital-based locum doctors across rural, regional, and remote Australia.
The business partners with hospitals, health services, and primary care providers nationwide, delivering workforce solutions across a wide range of healthcare settings.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building a specialist desk, developing long-term relationships, and creating genuine value for both healthcare professionals and clients.
You’ll focus on sourcing, engaging, and placing medical professionals while working closely with both existing and new healthcare clients. You’ll also be supported by an experienced healthcare recruitment team across leadership, marketing, compliance, and administration.
The role offers strong autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to build a high-performing desk within a growing and quality-driven business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors across rural, regional, and remote healthcare markets
- Source medical talent through direct outreach, referrals, CRM systems, market mapping, and ongoing engagement strategies
- Develop partnerships with hospitals, health services, medical practices, and regional healthcare employers
- Manage recruitment processes from briefing through to placement
- Professionally present and position candidates to clients
- Build long-term partnerships that generate repeat business and referrals
- Drive business development activity while staying informed on market trends and workforce insights
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience in doctor recruitment, hospital locums, GP recruitment, or a related healthcare recruitment market.
You’ll be confident engaging passive candidates, building trust with both doctors and clients, and managing recruitment processes in a relationship-driven environment.
