The Melbourne office is a high-performing team of seven, led by an experienced State Manager, and operates across both residential and commercial lending with a particular focus on commercial property and construction finance.

This is a partnerships-focused Business Development role within the Melbourne office, sitting alongside an existing Account Management function. Partnerships Manager is responsible for building and managing a network of referral partners — primarily accountants and real estate agents — to generate a consistent pipeline of residential and commercial lending opportunities.
The role suits someone who thrives on activity, is comfortable getting out of the office, and wants to be rewarded significantly for what they bring in. With over half the team currently hitting $300k OTE and a 5% bonus with no threshold, the earning potential is real — not aspirational.
- Build and maintain a network of referral partners including accountants, real estate agents, and other professional introducers across Greater Melbourne.
- Generate 8–10 meetings per week, with a strong focus on new business development.
- Manage a pipeline of residential and commercial lending opportunities, with emphasis on commercial property and construction lending.
- Work across a broad range of client profiles including self-employed borrowers, salaried clients, and trust structures.
- Maintain activity standards and pipeline accuracy through regular reporting to the State Manager.
- Attend industry association events and leverage networks to drive visibility and referral activity.
- Represent the business professionally in market and contribute to the broader team's growth targets.
- A strong BDM or partnership-focused professional with experience in lending, financial services, or a related B2B environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a referral partner network — experience with accountants or real estate agent channels is highly regarded.
- Commercially driven with a genuine appetite for new business and a high-activity work ethic.
- Comfortable operating independently in the field while remaining accountable to team targets.
- Excellent communication skills and the professional presence to build trust with sophisticated clients and introducers.
- Experience in commercial property or construction lending is an advantage, though not essential.
- Self-starters only — this environment rewards output and won't suit someone who needs close supervision.
The business operates a work hard, play hard culture — effort and results are recognised and rewarded. The team has strong tenure, with individuals committing to multi-year runs in the business. You'll be given 12 months to build and prove your pipeline before being fully measured on it.
- Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
- Bonus: 5% of revenue generated, no minimum threshold
- OTE: $300,000+ — over half the current team are achieving this
